Happy (early) spring! Here's the March meetups and more...
This Month's (Moving) Art Events
As always, several figure drawing and general art meetups are occurring every month in the same place - you can find links to those on ncartmeets.com. Here are the outdoor meetups:
- Saturday, March 7 (pm): Raleigh Outdoor Painting Group is back with their first event at NCMA park.
- Saturday, March 14 (pm): Urban Sketching at CAM Raleigh with Scott Renk's CAM Raleigh USK group
- Sunday, March 21: Pullen Park with Raleigh Outdoor Painting Group
- Saturday, March 28: CCB Plaza (downtown Durham) with Durham Plein Air/USK
This month's Mebane urban sketchers meetup is TBA.
Paint the Parks: En Plein Air Celebration
Wake County is hosting a more unique version of a plein air event - you choose a park and can submit up to one painting for a traveling art show. It seems to be free. I don't see any info about awards nor if works will be for sale and if so, what the commission would be. If anyone has a contact and can get more info, let me know!
