Thinking Too Hard 🤔

How hard is it for you to say, "I don't know?"

I find it PRETTY HARD! "You've been working in the web industry for over a decade!" I tell myself, "Shouldn't you know this?" Or the fear kicks in, "They're going to think you're bad at your job! Quick! Say something smart!"

That type of inner dialogue sets an unrealistic expectation or is just patently false. No one can know everything! Pretending like you know everything is annoying to everyone else, and spinning BS to attempt to save face often has the opposite effect.

Better to be humble, and be honest.

...and to remember that the next time the internal dialogue starts up again!
