Family Night: Stories Launch Day!

Hi everyone!

I’m so thrilled that today is Family Night’s official book birthday! I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported me and my writing over the years, to everyone who subscribes to this wee little newsletter, and to folks who have so kindly made it a point to talk about my book and my work.

You can grab a paperback or eBook copy directly from Mason Jar Press, as well as from Amazon US*, and eBooks from Barnes & Noble and Kobo.

Family Night official bookcover, which features a person with a mustache and short beard reclining in a yellow chair and holding a VHS tape over the top of their face so the white spool pieces look like eyes. They are wearing rainbow striped socks and lace up shoes, with their feet resting on a vintage television set. A small pile of VHS tapes rests on the floor, and FAMILY NIGHT stretches across the cover image in bright pink capitals, with Stories and Ani King in underneath in smaller, light blue font.

*Because MJP is a small press and using a terrific independent distributor (Asterism), plus the whole issue of tarrifs, there are challenges with shipping costs outside of the US. I’ve had a lot of folks ask if there will be a worldwide Amazon Prime option, and the short answer is probably not. Larger sellers,Amazon in particular makes it difficult to list and sell small press books that aren’t using their direct print process or going through a major distributor like Ingram, for example. I know this is a limitation that probably seems like it could be solved by entering the Amazon ecosystem. However, working with a small independent distributor and not caving to the Amazon system is really important to me for many reasons.

I do have ten signed copies that I am happy to sell at $5US + the cost of shipping to wherever you might be, as long as it’s outside of the US, but not an embargoed country. If that’s something you’re interested in, please send me a reply to this email.
