It's a crisp and resplendent autumn here is Seattle, and since I last sent a note, some things have happened:
- The great Richard Wilbur died; he was one of my very favorites, so I read one of his poems in memorium here.
- I did that reading at Brick and Mortar with my friend Jeremiah Webster, who brought his guitar, looking every bit the beat poet. It was terrific fun.
- The reading at Hugo House went so well I asked my co-reader, the poet Lauren Camp, to stop by the studio to read some poems for the podcast.
- I gave an hour-long (!) interview for KBOO Portland, which they recorded, the darlings, so you can listen here, if you like.
Oh, and I published this essay about Pirates of the Caribbean and this one about Samuel Taylor Coleridge. A busy month, now that I think about it.
Bless,
MW
