Our new summer home
So here’s the thing.
Erika’s heads-down working on a new book, which is going to be AMAZING, so I agreed to take on newsletter duties. And I was failing at that. After some soul-searching, I realized that I hated working on our newsletter because it was on Mailchimp. Not only is the interface a lot, like a LOT, but the company isn’t great. (Our lawyer says I ’m not allowed to call them union busters, so I’m absolutely NOT calling them that.) But I spend a few hours moving the newsletter to Buttondown, which is run by pretty decent people.
This, of course, may have resulted in some subscriber import hijinx. So if you’re getting this newsletter and thinking “I thought I’d unsubscribed from this Socialist woke trash” well, you probably did. Just unsubscribe again. We’re still Socialist woke trash and you’re still… well, you’re still you.
On to a few updates:
Real last minute, but I’ve got a few slots left in this week’s Presenting w/Confidence workshop.
The Design Is a Job zine is still only $9, and it comes with a grab bag of fun stickers that will make capitalists nervous. If there’s a recent design school grad in your life and you’re nervous about their future:
Correct
Giving them this zine will make them think you’re cooler than you actually are.
Over at my own newsletter, I’ve been answering a question a week. So why not ask it? (Please do not ask me about my book’s original publisher.)
And why not… if you like paintings, I’ve been making some. So here’s some art, as a treat.
All is love.
