I recently got a hankering for old school real-time strategy, and went looking for ways to play the Command & Conquer of my youth. Turns out some fans have recreated Red Alert 2 completely in the browser. No AI, so it's all PVP. HMU on the euro server at tonebone if you want to play, comrade.

I was at the grocery store yesterday and heard this cover of Joni Mitchell's "River" that missed the point harder than anything I've ever heard. (And shout out to SecondHandSongs for helping me track it down.)
Joni's original version opens with a "Jingle Bells" motif that gets it loosely categorized as a Christmas song before transitioning into themes of alienation and loss. Darren Criss sounds like he's excited to get his own river as a Christmas gift so he can go skating on it.
