This Week’s Track:

US Air Force Airmen of Note - Black Nile

Tiempo Latino - 2006

I compiled a Spotify playlist a while ago with a bunch of potential songs for background tracks, but with the entire episode centered around a Latin American country, this one felt appropriate. I know it was quieter than my usual background tracks, so in the future, I’m going to make them a bit louder at the beginning. Thanks to that one guy on TikTok for saying, “if you put like a funny music cue at the beginning of the video this could do numbers.” Let’s hope so! I’ll try that next week.

IF YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A BACKGROUND TRACK, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Outfit

I like my Volcom hoodie. It’s really comfy. That’s all I’ve got to say about that.

Story 1: US bombs Venezuela, Kidnaps President Nicolas Maduro & Wife

On Saturday, President Trump and the Department of War carried out bombing raids against the Venezuelan capital Caracas, then capturing Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, in the middle of the night.

This whole thing is really bad. Yes, Maduro is a dictator, and a bad one at that, but this was absolutely not the right move. Many Venezuelans are seen rejoicing, because they’ve been starving for years now. I wasn’t alive for the beginning of the Iraq war, but I know history. This isn’t going to be good.

Behind The Scenes

Hi! I’m back. I lasted, what, 4 editions first time around? Let’s hope I can do it for a bit longer this time! Look, I always wanted to make a companion newsletter to my show, but I intended to release them both on Sunday. I kind of procrastinate a lot, so I was getting the show out late on Sunday anyway. By doing the newsletter the day after, hopefully I can maintain this for a lot longer. And I hope I get some new subscribers soon! Hi Mom and Dad.

I should have included more stuff this week. I only realized I covered just the Venezuela stuff after I wrote most of the script, and without my ADHD meds, it was game over. The US bombing Nigeria over Christmas and some more Epstein stuff was intended to make it into last week’s episode, but I was really tired and lazy so I just didn’t make one last week (I did film something though, it was just terrible and I didn’t want to upload something so low effort). I’m going to redouble my efforts this year to not blow off my show, because I really do love it! It’s just time consuming and taxing sometimes.

Happy 2026, and here’s to new beginnings. Welcome to the Minute Newsletter :)

That’s all for now. See you next week,
