it’s been a long summer- but simultaneously life has moved swiftly and i am in disbelief. summer has granted a little time for rest, but i’ve mostly been sifting through information in preparation for my various projects. it feels like it’s hard to make moves when i’m so scared of failure and wasting time. i feel like i’ve done that a lot in my life and it makes me regretful and sad. it’s been hard since so many awful things are occurring in the states at the same time that i am just trying to regain my footing from being knocked down (iykyk). now that i’m firmly in my early 30’s, time feels of the essence.
⋆☁︎ ゚⋆ patreon rewards ⋆☾ ゚
last month i decided to convert my sticker club on patreon into a multi-media mail club ($8/month). the rewards for july included stickers and a postcard, but this month i will also include some small paper bits and bobs as well as star confetti (made with recycled paper) !! if you like junk journaling and my work then please consider supporting my work by subscribing on patreon. in addition, i upload sketchbook pages as well as digital downloads every now and then. subs start at $3/month. i am so appreciative of all support, paid or otherwise!!

⋆☾ ゚ web updates ⋆☁︎ ゚
i am currently figuring out where and how to host my website because i may have outgrown superhi, where i currently host it. my website wouldn’t publish and i reached out to support for help. turns out, they said my website has too many images and documents. i really don’t want to delete my work. i’ve been researching how to host it myself by utilizing solar power, but that may be a project for next year. in the meantime, i archived some of my older work that isn’t relevant to what i am doing now (my old photography and ceramics), and add it back later once i find a solution to this issue.
⋆。゚ garden updates ⋆ ゚
i am working on building up my front and back yard into my dream gardens. it’s been a very slow process cause it’s hot as fuck outside but i have been doing things here and there when i can. i created a walking path from the sidewalk to our front door using pavers sourced from a local who gave them to me for free- so long as i was willing to go and dig them out of the ground myself. and i was! it was three trips worth of lugging bricks to my house from there but it is done. next step is to create a fence to enclose my yard so doggies cant pee on my food and install a door where the path meets the sidewalk.
after that, it is time to push the tiller thru with compost. keeping my fingers crossed it goes well.
in the meantime, i have okra, seminole pumpkin, cowpea, banana, loquat, and pigeon peas cooking. along with peppermint, rosemary, thyme, spinach, and sweet potato vines.
my peppers and eggplants never made it but it’s okay. i’ll try again.
☁︎。⋆ misc updates ☾ ゚⋆
i am learning about RISO GR3770 because i have one now (thank you Kaitlin from Print St. Pete)!!
this requires learning the mechanics and quirks of this 30 year old machine and luckily i have found a great resource - printshop notes. this will be long ass process because it is likely that i will have to replace many parts which will also mean retrofitting pieces that weren’t originally meant for this machine (can’t get most parts new because it is so old). wish me luck in the process and if you know any risograph wizards in the orlando metro area let me know!
painting inside our house is finally finished so i have began to hang up our collection of art, which is … a process. i haven’t always been super confident in my curation so it takes me much longer to commit to hanging up something. the house is beginning to feel like home, one step at a time.
i haven’t used instagram in a meaningful way in a few months, and i couldn’t be more grateful. i thought i would miss it more, but i just don’t think about it most days. i don’t want to put more of my face or voice on Meta so they can use it to train their AI models. its frustrating to live in a time like this, where i want to share on the internet but am also nervous of feeding the machine that i don’t want to feed or support in any manner.
i want to commit myself to being present and achieving liberation through practical means like growing, foraging, and preserving food. i want to learn how to use solar power for more of my projects. i want to learn how to stay connected outside of big tech.
⋆☁︎。 ANTi zine ⋆☾⋆
while i’m working on the finishing touches on ANTi issue 11, check out my patreon shop where past issues are available for digital download. just made my first sale on these! it makes me feel cool!
