Occasionally, some readers ask from where I get my political information. The answer is, that just like all of them, from a multitude of sources.

One of my new favorites is the Axios 28 newsletter. The July 20th iteration illustrates why. From when AOC was first elected, I have been a skeptic, although I admit that when I first watched her question a witness during a Congressional hearing, I was surprised at her obvious acuity. The July 20th story jolted me, making me realize for the first time that, like Obama, she just may have what it takes to go all the way.

As if anticipating the above, Tom Friedman came through on Wednesday with a delicious analysis of the bad consequences of ill-thought through decision making by national leaders. His op-ed was so delicious, I could not resist adding it.
