Trending Tuesday: Love, Tuna & 7-Eleven?😳
Dear recipient
Welcome to another week of Trending Tuesday. Your weekly curated overview of what’s trending right now on Nordic social media🔥 - made using TRNDSET.
Here are 3 trends of the week!
Lifestyle
“How did you guys meet?” … Here Tinder seems less of a “meet cute” romcom kind of answer 🎬💕. Yet Tinder has become such a place of algorithms that finding lasting love might be considered a pure miracle in itself. January, a month often associated with new beginnings, has transferred the notion to also include a quest for the love of your life. Love is on the menu and we want it served on Tinder 🍽️🥩. I hope you have guessed it… Tinder is currently trending on TRNDSET 📈 Right in time for Valentine’s Day.
Food 🍖➡️🐟
Out with meat, in with well, also a kind of meat. We want fish, and especially tuna. Over the last 7 days, the trends has seen 6.5K engagements and around 300K impressions within our Food Interest.
One might think it’s a need for a palate cleanse from heavy cuts and sauces, or maybe it signals a longing for spring and a more delicate panel of food notes with refined flavours. Yet looking at the content, the dishes resemble comfort food: Such as @elias.fys with his creamy root vegetable mash with pollock, or @josefinesolsson and her Libapizza with tuna as topping.
The data points to fish en route - at least for now. 🐟
Travel
“We can always go to 7-Eleven.” The use of always implies a certain laissez-faire trust towards the corner shop which, most likely, has saved many of us from hunger, thirst, forgotten train tickets and what not at all hours of the day more times than we can count ⏰. So it is only fair that 7-Eleven is getting its own content format.
Here is what's happening 👇
Creators film short-form 7-Eleven walkthroughs, price comparisons, snack/drink reviews 🥤🍫, and haul-style content that showcase what’s available in foreign stores versus back home. The format mixes quick travel tips with product testing and cultural comparison, often framed as bite-sized recommendations for future visitors 🎒 See an example from Christian Muda below:
