If you ever needed convincing that chasing backlinks is a worthless pursuit, check out today's show. When I rank high quickly for a phrase on my own site, you could argue it's because of all the backlinks we have to other pages in the site. What about a site that ranks no.3 in a competitive market for a tough phrase that has only 4 backlinks though?
