Did you get hit by Google Update "Fred" on March 9? 
A lot of people did. Some reporting a 90% drop in traffic. I think we have the first reported case of a recovery from it. Well the first I have read anyway. Not a client of ours but a blogger who's site I used to work out what the update was targeting. I found it and we applied the fix and it worked!
