Stampede Art Show

I will be showing my art in the Western Oasis (BMO Centre) during Stampede from July 3 - 12. I have paintings in both the Main Gallery and the Mini Masterpieces.
When I go to Stampede it’s mostly for the horses and dogs, the amazing people-watching, the lemonade, the deep fried Oreo’s, and the mini donuts. But honestly, my favorite space is the Western Oasis. It’s a calm atmosphere and has the added bonus of a wonderful reprieve from the insanity just outside. Absorbing art slows your brain down and activates some good neurochemicals1 - which we desperately need. If you find yourself wandering through art, Stampede or otherwise, I would urge you to stare a little longer on a few pieces. Instead of putting the art into categories of ‘good’ or ‘bad’ or ‘like/dislike’ think about the feelings the art brings up. Notice the way the colors compare with each other. Consider which choices the artist made and postulate why and why not. Meander, dawdle, and linger.
(and if you’re eating deep friend Oreo’s remember not to inhale when you bite or you will choke on powdered sugar)
((this is a reminder to myself))
In other news I painted this cute pup recently. This commission made it’s way to me through a referral, I love working with humans that have been vouched for by other humans and as a bonus, the money helps me buy art supplies.

Thank you so much for supporting me and my creative endeavor. I appreciate all of you.
As always, check out my website for more art and to see what’s available for purchase. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or if you want some art for your walls.
