I recently completed a commissioned work of a Baobab tree. The client and I worked together to showcase the tree in all its glory, while also reflecting some of the Zambian agricultural landscape.

I have never painted so many leaves before, but once I got the hang of it, it wasn’t too complicated (just time consuming).

My favorite aspects of this piece are the dappled light reaching the trunk of the tree, and the various colors I added to the bark.
