Starting Over
I’ve been thinking about platforms lately.
For years I’ve posted comics, videos, blog posts, and social media updates all over the place. Often chasing what is hot at the moment. Some of that has worked, and some of it hasn’t.
One thing I’ve learned is that I value direct connection with readers, which is why I’ve moved this newsletter to a new provider. MailChimp is great if you want to market to customers. I want to talk to people. Big difference.

I finished my latest graphic novel, See You In Hell, a couple of weeks ago.
Took me three years.
By comparison, my previous graphic novel, The Walk, took ten years to complete. And that was only 48 pages. See You In Hell is over 200 pages. It feels very strange to have accomplished so much in such a comparatively short amount of time.
I also became a father twice over during those three years.
So much of the last decade has been about survival. Now I feel like I can start optimizing the time I have left.
I’m beginning work on my next graphic novel. More on that in the next newsletter.
Going forward, I’d like this newsletter to be more than an automated blog digest. I’ll still share my thoughts on comics, creativity, and whatever project I’m currently obsessed with. But I’d also like to share comics directly with you here.
Thanks for sticking around.
