Beginning Again
Starting my new graphic novel while reflecting on the creative process and sharing the journey.
Last month I wrote that I was starting over. Now it becomes real.
I'm drawing the first pages of my next graphic novel, The Shape of My Son.
Making See You In Hell taught me that I enjoy documenting the process almost as much as the finished book. If you follow me on YouTube or Patreon, that's why you've probably seen more videos lately about outlining, collecting reference, and wandering around with a camera than finished comic pages.
I'm trying to build a creative life people can follow, not just a project that appears every few years.
Now it's time to start the next story.
New book. New characters. New problems to solve.
Over the next few months you'll see rough sketches, pages in progress, thoughts about storytelling, and the inevitable moments where I wonder if I know what I'm doing.
Those are my favorite parts anyway.
Thanks for following along.
