Dear friends,

It has been a tough time since I last wrote, and, to be honest, it still kind of is. But life goes on, and I have some book-related news to share, which makes me excited to get back to work.

I’m very happy to be part of FLYLEAF edition #3, taking place 20–23 August.

On Friday, 21 August, from 16:00–20:00, maḳām editions will have a table at Falschrum, Braunschweiger Str. 16, 12055 Berlin-Neukölln (S Sonnenallee). Come by, have a look, and say hi!

On Saturday, 22 August, from 15:00–16:30, I’ll be hosting Folding Paper Poems at WIRWIR, Stuttgarter Str. 56, 12059 Berlin-Neukölln — a poetry and zine-making workshop for children and young people aged 7–15.

And then things get exciting again on Cranachstraße in September, with Anna McCarthy at maḳām. I’ll also be travelling to Düsseldorf with maḳām authors Selen Solak and Andreas Reihse for Between Books at Kunsthalle Düsseldorf. More on both of these events in the next newsletter.

I hope your summer has been filled with soft and sweet moments. September has always felt like my New Year. So let’s get through August on a bookish and communal note, celebrating independent publishing, and step into September together.
