Hi all,

Welcome to the fall 2026 team! You can see our roster from tryouts. We're two weeks out from our first game and have a lot to cover to start solidifying.

🏃 Practice

Practice is Tuesday and Friday after school at Madison, until 5:30pm. (This is the schedule for the rest of the season unless we say otherwise.)

💪 Theme of the week: best effort

Best effort also means coming prepared. If Sunday's weather was any indication, fall has arrived. We play in all conditions except lightning, so come dressed for it. Be sure to bring:

• Cleats (crocs, while fashionable, are not proper attire)
• Active clothing and layers
• A filled water bottle, and start hydrating before practice
• An optional snack if you need it to stay energized
• A folded garbage bag to keep your backpack, instrument, etc. dry if it rains; it's worth just keeping one in your bag all season.

📊 Team seeding

We'll use this week to do our initial seeding for our three teams and the practice squad.

🏃‍♀️ Gx clinic, Saturday 9/19

DiscNW is hosting a clinic for middle school Gx players on Saturday, 9/19, 9am - noon, at Robert Eagle Staff Middle School. This isn't a Madison event, just something worth knowing about if you're a Gx player. Sliding-scale fee, register here by 9/18 Feel free to use the team WhatsApp group to arrange carpools.

🎽 Jersey and hoodie orders

More info to come, but we're planning a jersey/hoodie order this week too. There's a tight turnaround, hence the early heads-up:

• Order forms go out Tuesday, 9/15, in person at practice and digitally via newsletter.
• Forms and payment are due Thursday, 9/17 to the front office of the school.
• Shirts and hoodies will be distributed at the 9/26 game or the following practice.

As always, reach out to [email protected] with any questions.

Good times!
