🥏 Game 8 (Playoff Round 2) activation status + party this Friday!

        Hi all,
🎉 End of Season Party — This Friday, 5/15!
The full team party for all spring players — regardless of whether you have been activated or not — is this Friday, 5/15 at Alki Playfield!
A note from Oni's dad Hanns-Peter, who is organizing:
The frisbee season is almost over and that means party time! We'll have pizza, popsicles, and drinks. If you're able to help with any of the following, please email Hanns-Peter at [email protected]:
Set-up: help set things up at Alki Playfield (or Madison Cafeteria as backup in case of rain). An extra table for pizza would be great!
Clean-up: help get everything together quickly at the end (the kids can help too!)
Logistics:
Players meet Coach Steve at the front entrance of Madison (bus entrance) at 3:53 PM
We'll walk together to Alki Playfield via the Schmitz Park trail
Players should still bring active clothing for games
Pickup is at Alki Playfield at 5:30 PM unless you've arranged something different with your player. If players are having fun and the weather is good, it's possible this extends a little!
Coach Rusty will be down at the playfield by 3:45pm for those who want to bike or get a ride down after school
☁️ Weather note: If conditions are particularly nasty Friday, we'll move the party to the Madison Cafeteria. This will be a game-time decision made before 12:00 PM — we'll email if things change. Either way, coaches will be at the front of the school to welcome players and redirect as needed.
🟢 Game 8 (Playoff Round 2) Activation Status
This weekend we have activated more players (some who have not been activated for games before) who have shown commitment to practice consistently throughout the season. We know it's a lot of travel and we have good bench depth. If it doesn't work for your player to come for either or both games, we completely understand. Just please update their status in the Player Portal so we can plan accordingly.

❗ Traffic may be bad and parking may be difficult. The lower bridge is closed this weekend, along with northbound 99 across the 1st Ave S bridge. There is also a 4:15pm Mariners game. Families should plan to leave West Seattle with enough time to have their player out of the car ~10 minutes before warmups.
If you need/want carpool help, please post in the WhatsApp community and we'll collectively figure it out!
✍️ Mark Availability
Please update your player's availability for the party and both playoff games in the Player Portal as soon as possible, and leave a note about any constraints. This helps us determine how much supplies to purchase and whether we'll have enough players to field the team.
👕 Jersey Return
We need to collect jerseys from all players by the end of day Saturday. If you received a jersey and are not coming Saturday, please bring it to the party on Friday. Based on our availability info, this likely includes:
Ella Scheer
Josephine Scheer
Oni Nagel
We look forward to a great end of season wrapup Friday and Saturday!
