Thanks for a Great December!

Good morning Nelson families!
What a great month- we hope that you have had the chance to attend one of the PAC events, or have enjoyed hearing from your kid(s) about them!
On the first day of December, we hosted our pancake breakfast to great success! Thank you to all the folks who loaned us equipment and volunteered their time to make and serve pancakes, or to help set-up and clean up. These events can’t run without your help, and we so appreciated the time you commit to us!
Then we had a great fundraiser with Purdy’s and raised almost $2000 for the school!
Lastly, we’re delighted to announce that we raised over $800 in cash donations and gift cards for groceries for the Kettle Society. Not to mention the amazing donations of winter clothing, too. What a generous community we have! Audrey, who manages at the Kettle Society cafe (where we take unclaimed hot lunches when not needed for Nelson families) was SO appreciative and excited when our volunteers took everything the Nelson students and staff had donated this past Friday, so vulnerable Vancouver folks could receive a hot holiday meal and some warm winter clothing.
Please see below for a list of what we managed to raise!.
Have a great day!
-Your PAC exec
