Dear Nelson families,

As we enter the holiday season — a time when many cultures and traditions celebrate bringing light into the darker days — we want to take a moment to honour the care we share for our children, our families, and our community. We know that many in our school are entering this season holding a wide range of emotions about the state of the world. In moments like these, it feels especially meaningful to practice kindness, curiosity, and compassion with one another, and to remember how much connects us: the desire for our children to feel safe, supported, and able to belong.

We also want to extend our gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the Kettle donation drive. Your generosity supports families in our wider community who are facing significant challenges, and it reflects the spirit of care that carries through our school all year long. As we look ahead to the winter break, we wish you and your loved ones rest, joy, and moments of connection — and we thank you for being part of a community that continually strives to shine a little more light for one another.
