There were a couple of pieces in the press we think are worth your attention.
Britain’s bitter bread battle: what a £5 sourdough loaf tells us about health, wealth and class. A nicely detailed look at the state of commercial bread baking in the UK that covers a lot of the Real Bread Campaign points. It does draw a binary between cheap industrial loaves and artisanal sourdough implying there's no middle ground, which is exactly where Loaf wants to be with our Stirchley Loaf. They shoulda got in touch. Speaking of which...
I tried the bakery in 'best' Birmingham suburb with £1 delicacy and the queue was out the door. At the tail end of the blurt of press coverage Stirchley received this month is this lovely report on a visit to our bakery. It's hard to know how we come across to first-time visitors – if we're being seen how we want to be seen – and we're very happy with Emily Chaplin's first impressions. Come again!

Lunches are made fresh weekdays for 12 noon.
