Bread of the week

This section was intended to highlight an unsung hero from our core range of bread, but this is a special week, so we're not doing that. We're pointing at these beauties.

A tray of mince pies

It's hot cross bun season! For the next five weeks we will be baking oodles of fruity tea cakes emblazoned with white crosses.

Hand made with the finest ingredients to our own recipe they're £2 each of four for £7.

Marshalls on tour

We hope you've been enjoying the extremely good range of chocolate bars from Marshall and Co which we've stocked for the last year. Hand-made in Bournville from the finest ethically sourced beans they're quite a delight.

But they produce a much wider range than we're able to stock, including eggs for Easter, so if you're intrigued, or just want to chat about their bean to bar process, they'll be at the following foodie events:

Wednesday

  • Tarka daal with sourdough (Ve)

Thursday

  • Soup: Roasted tomato & garlic with focaccia (Ve)

Friday

  • Curry: Potato & green pepper with sourdough (Ve)

  • Salt beef on challah bun

Wed - Fri

  • Sourdough pizza: Artichoke, green olive, capers, lemon, garlic oil & mozzarella (V)

  • Ham and cheese croissant

  • Tomato, spinach and cheese croissant (V)

Wed – Sat:

  • Sausage rolls

  • Vegetable rolls (V)

Lunches are made fresh weekdays for 12 noon.

On Saturday the bakers will be making two sourdough specials:

  • Sage and roasted onion

  • Coconut and dark chocolate

No reservations - first come first served.

We run classes throughout the year (except August and December) and schedule new dates as soon as possible. You can sign up to alert lists for specific classes here.
