We will keep crowdfunding

Our crowdfunder for our move into the Stirchley Co-operative Development collected 15,217 so far. Thank you!!!

💛💛💛

Our goal is £25,000 and those will help us to pay for the fit-out in our new building like ovens, cooking stations and shop fixtures. It will also help us to cover our moving costs (including the mammoth amount it’s going to cost to move and fit our bakery ovens). We will use the money to buy equipment (not just big stuff, but the many little bits that make daily life work smoothly). And we want to improve our accessibility tweaks so our cookery school is welcoming for everyone.

This crowdfunder is a crucial part of making the move happen. With your help, we can move forward and grow while keeping Loaf rooted in Stirchley for many years to come.

Stirchley Wassail!

The people from the Fruit & Nut Village will bring back their Stirchley Wassail at Birmingham Brewing Co. for 2026 on the 17th January and it will be bigger than ever! They will have a fantastic line up of music, poetry, and dance, as well as stalls from charities around Birmingham.

Maybe you can even get your hands on some cinnamon buns from Loaf!

The main purpose of Fruit & Nut Village is to bring people together to develop individual growing spaces into a collection of connected food-abundant spaces, by working with local communities to develop a range of edible landscapes. Working with the local community is really important one of their key elements - they run volunteer events regularly, with sometimes more than 50 people attending; usually numbers are around 10-20. Local people come together to learn and work with each other, often weeding, planting, mulching and pruning trees, creating new growing spaces and watering fruit trees.

The Wassail will be on Saturday 17 Jan 2026, 14:30 – 19:30 at Birmingham Brewing Company, Unit 17, Stirchley Trading Estate, Hazelwell Rd, Stirchley, Birmingham B30 2PF.
