Weâve inked in a few more cookery school dates for September and October. Scroll to the bottom of this newsletter for all the classes but here are the highlights:
Heritage Grains is back! As this run by two of our senior bakers at the same time, finding space in the baking rota can be a challenge, but we made it work and are delighted to say Baking with Heritage Grains with Rachel and Neil will run on Saturday, 26 October.
You can think of this as âadvanced sourdoughâ where we switch out the standard wheat flour and explore Spelt, Einkorn, Emmer, and Kamut â how they change the baking process and their history and heritage. More details and booking here.
Haseenâs Dosa and Thaali return in October. This autumn weâre running Dosa on the 2nd and Thaali on the 23rd of October. Like all our evening classes these are a blend of a cooking class, cultural history lesson finishing with a hearty meal which you prepared.

Weâve added a Sweet Breads & Viennoiserie class in September. As this is one of our most popular classes (the October date sold out immediately) we always intended to run more in the autumn and just needed to check Neilâs availability. And heâs free on Tuesday 17 September! Book here.
There are a few more dates to be confirmed and weâll announce them over the next couple of weeks. If no dates suits you and youâd like to be informed as soon as new ones are available, sign up to our alert list.
On the sweets trays this week look out for a lime, coconut and raspberry cake on Wed and Thurs followed by a peach, thyme and lemon cake on Fri and Sat.
Thereâs also a raspberry cheesecake on Fri and a cereal cheesecake on Sat. Plus all the usual cookies, brownies, blondies and more!

No reservations - first come first served.
Curry: Tarka daal with sourdough (Ve)

Sourdough Pizza: Chargrilled Aubergine, Red Onion, Chilli & Mozzarella (V)

Lunches are made fresh weekdays for 12 noon.
