Seven Stops - an interactive sculpture by Lee Mackenzie, Lorenzo Prati and Dale Hipkiss

You probaly know Lee from our shop. He and his fellow Artefact members, Lorenzo and Dale are currently putting the finishing touches to a sound sculpture that is set to premiere at 6pm on Saturday 15th March at St. Swithun's Church, Worcester.

Seven Stops is an interactive sculpture commissioned by the Churches Conservation Trust that uses samples from the church's historic Gray's organ and the statue's own creation to consider notions of time/Time.

Its premiere will be followed by a performance of newly-commissioned songs from Birmingham-based songwriter Gaby Kettle and you can book (free admission) tickets here.

You could be one of the first to try out the sculpture…

Full Moon Night Walk by Walk Space

Another face you might know from Loaf (or Artefact): Andy Howlett is one of the founding members of Walk Space, a walking-art collective and they celebrate its 5th year with a re-run of one of the first public walks they ever did. Join them for a magical tour of the lunar-charged waterways of Stirchley and Lifford on Friday 14th March from 7pm.

Join Loaf and expert cookery tutor Lap-fai Lee for a hands-on session of Dumpling making

Our next Dumpling course takes place on Wednesday 26th March from 6.30-9.30pm and we still have some spaces available.

During the class you will be making dumplings from scratch and then boiling, deep frying or pan frying them. Lap will tutor you through making the dough and preparing vegetarian and pork dumplings. You’ll also make crispy, deep fried dim sum style wontons (pork & prawn) and Sichuan wontons (lamb). Yum!

Wed - Fri

  • Sourdough Pizza: Italian veggie sausage, roasted broccolini, olives and mozzarella (V)

  • Ham and cheese croissant

  • Vegetarian croissant (V)

Wed – Sat:

  • Sausage rolls

  • Vegetable rolls (V)

Lunches are made fresh weekdays for 12 noon.

  • Wholegrain Baking with Tom Baker: Sold out at the moment. More dates will be released very soon.

Haseen’s evening classes:

  • Dosa: Tue 4 Mar (tomorrow - pancake day!)

  • Thaali: Wed 19 Mar

Lap’s all-day classes:

  • Sausage & Charcuterie: Sold out at the moment. More dates will be released soon.

  • Seafood Masterclass: Sat 26th April

Lap’s evening classes:

  • Thai: Weds 2nd April.

  • Ramen: Thu 27th March, Weds 30th April

  • Dumplings: Weds 26th March, Tues 29th April

  • Knife Skills: Tues 1st April

We run classes throughout the year (except August and December) and schedule new dates as soon as possible. You can sign up to alert lists for specific classes here.

If you think of gifting one class but you are not sure which one would be preferred you could buy a gift voucher instead.

Our vouchers can be purchased in any value you like for redemption against future bookings. Vouchers purchased online will give you a downloadable pdf which can be emailed to the recipient directly, or to you for printing and giving to them by hand. Alternatively you can come to us and buy vouchers in the shop.
