Pay It Forward!

Loaf has always been passionate about giving back to our community and those in need. For years, even before the pandemic, we have given to initiatives like Incredible Surplus and B30 Food Bank when we have bread left. We hate throwing anything away.

We are really pleased to announce we are introducing a ‘Pay It Forward’ scheme at Loaf. Our aim is to be able to donate to people directly from our shop and to take donations from customers to give bread away to those in need.

It works like this: You can make a donation of £5 and a yellow token will be placed in a pot by our till in the shop. 1 token = 1 loaf. A person who is in need of a loaf can then take the token, ask for the loaf they would like and pay for it with that token. No questions asked. No judgement. Simple.

Not all of our loaves cost £5 and so any surplus money we take will go back into funding the project.

We are a community bakery, and we are always thinking of how we can honour that title. One of those is always wanting to give back to our area. We would like to thank our customers for their generosity with other charity donations they have made, hopefully this will make a difference to families, and we hope we can help them, even in this small way.

  • Curry: Stirchley Daal with Sourdough (Ve)

Thursday

  • Sandwich: Spicy Cauliflower, lettuce, tomato, red onion & vegan ranch dressing on everything bagel focaccia (ve) w/ optional feta (v)

Friday

  • Curry: Aubergine, lentil & coconut with Sourdough (Ve)

  • Salt beef on challah bun

Wed - Fri

  • Sourdough Pizza: Roasted red pepper, corn, goats cheese, scamorza and mozzarella w/ smoky tomato sauce (V)

  • Ham and cheese croissant

  • Tomato, spinach and cheese croissant (V)

Wed – Sat:

  • Sausage rolls

  • Vegetable rolls (V)

Lunches are made fresh weekdays for 12 noon.

Local News

  • Change Kitchen is crowdfunding to ensure the Wellbeing of our communities during this cost of living crisis

  • On Saturday 7th September is Heritage Open Day in Stirchley Baths from 11am til 3pm with exhibitions about Bournville Station and Pershore Road.
