During our Knife Skills & Maintenance class you can learn that! Starting with the basics of choosing the right knife for the right task, and keeping your knives in peak condition, expert cook Lap-fai Lee will guide you through some fantastic recipes that will enable you to learn all the essential knife skills – from deboning a chicken leg for Karaage Japanese fried chicken, chopping an onion in double-quick time, cutting lots of vegetables to make an amazing salsa, slaw and stir-fry. Next class takes place a week on 1st October from 6.30pm-9.30pm.
The cost of running Loaf has gone up over the year. Everyone in our supply chain has seen costs increase and are passing that to us. We keep looking for efficiencies and savings across the business while maintaining our standards but it’s got to the point where, in order to stay in business, we’re having to put our prices up for most of our lunches and pastries and some of our breads.
You can see the prices of the core baked goods on this page.
Lola the cafe boat is taking up its work from the 27th September and will serve handmade pizza and coffee along the canal from the city centre until up to Kings Norton.
Check their calendar if you want to know when they are close by to get you neopolitan style puffy crust and softer base. Dorit and Rach had a go during Keith and Clare’s test round on Sunday and were really happy with what they got.
