Summer shutdown next month
It’s time time of year when we close the bakery for a couple of weeks in August. Sales always slow in the summer as people go on holiday and it gives us a chance to clear some holiday allowance, get some essential maintenance done and get everything ready for a busy Autumn term and Christmas period.
Our last day of trading will be Saturday 10 August. We’ll be open again from Wednesday 28 August.
If you have capacity in your freezer, now’s the time to start stocking up! Place your pre-orders on the website.

The Woodland Games are back!

Long-time friends of Loaf Jonny and Dale are bringing their now-annual Woodland Games back to Hazelwell Park next month!
An irreverent nature-themed day of games art and music, last year saw a costume parade, team “sports” and magnificent trebuchets.

Everyone is welcome to get involved. More details on the website. (And Loaf are catering food for the volunteers!)

Special things this week
We had a request from Molly’s neighbour to make something new this week - Nanaimo bars, a Canadian delicacy. We’re all excited to see how they come out!
There’ll also be a miso millionaires shortbread and, “for the vegans”, a banana, oat and date slice. Yum!

Curry: mushroom, chickpea and coconut w/ sourdough (Ve)
Salt beef on challah bun
Wed - Fri
Sourdough Pizza: Four cheese (cheddar, ricotta, parmesan & mozzarella) (V)
Ham and cheese croissant
Tomato, spinach and cheese croissant (V)
Wed – Sat:
Sausage rolls
Vegetable rolls (V)
Lunches are made fresh weekdays for 12 noon.
