This is the weekly bulletin from Loaf in Stirchley, with our specials, lunches and cookery school classes.

Pink Pineapple People

There will be a new monthly Queer Community Group at Dad Lane Community Association starting on Saturday 4 May, 1-3pm with boardgames & pizza.

Bike Foundry is running free courses

The Bike Foundry is running three hour courses, which are free to the participant and funded by Cycling UK. You can learn how to do a safety check on a bike, diagnose common issues, replace inner tubes and brake pads. You can book here!

Special things this week

The sweets shift are making two kinds of blondies: a malt and milk chocolate blondie and a raspberry cheesecake blondie. And there will be vegan brownies on sale every day!

On Saturday the bakers will be making two sourdough specials:

  • Date & Cumin

  • Sundried tomato & Olive

No reservations - first come first served.

New class dates released

We've released new dates for a Sourdough course in July & Sweet Breads and Viennoiserie courses in June and July.

There are still some spaces left for our Thaali course with Haseen on The 1st of May!

Wednesday

  • Curry: Tarka daal with sourdough (Ve)

Thursday

  • Soup: Broccoli, pea + herb w/ sea salt focaccia (Ve)

Friday

  • Curry: New potato, green lentil + spinach w/sourdough (Ve)

  • Salt beef on challah bun

Wed - Fri

  • Sourdough pizza: Asparagus, spring onion, pine nuts, chilli oil, ricotta & mozzarella (V)

  • Ham and cheese croissant

  • Tomato, spinach and cheese croissant (V)

Wed – Sat:

  • Sausage rolls

  • Vegetable rolls (V)

Lunches are made fresh weekdays for 12 noon.

Lap’s all-day classes:

  • Dumplings: Tue 21 May

  • Knife Skills: Tue 28 May

We run classes throughout the year (except August and December) and schedule new dates as soon as possible. You can sign up to alert lists for specific classes here.
