This is the weekly bulletin from Loaf in Stirchley, with our specials, lunches and cookery school classes.
🍞 Pre-order your bread and pastries 🥐
We’ll have plenty on the shelves all week, with lunches served from noon on weekdays.
Our opening hours are:
Wed - Fri: 12-6
Saturday: 8-1
Visit us at 1421 Pershore Road, Stirchley, B30 2JL (map)
You will be making dumplings from scratch and then boiling, deep frying or pan frying them. Lap will tutor you through making the dough and preparing vegetarian and pork dumplings. You’ll also make crispy, deep fried dim sum style wontons (pork & prawn) and Sichuan wontons (lamb).
Like all Loaf courses it’s very hands-on and throughout the evening we’ll be tasting the fruits of our labour, you certainly won’t go home hungry!
The next class takes place on Wednesday 16th October from 6.30pm-9.30pm at Loaf in Stirchley, South Birmingham.
In partnership with the Stirchley Neighbourhood Forum, resident Ian Dudfield has been running a residents' survey. He needs help and input from Stirchley residents in two ways:
1. Attending a focus group at the Stirchley Baths. An hour long and he'll bring samosas
2. Knocking on a few doors on your street or a street nearby to deliver a very short survey.
Dorit joined one of the focus groups a couple of weeks ago and thought it was a good space to exchange opinions and ideas with other residents of Stirchley.
If you can spare an hour or so of your time to help him with either of these activities, please email him at i.dudfield@gmail.com. Thank you!
Our favourite Hot Sauce Queen Pip brought us a new delivery and we could finally get our hands on the Pink Pounder Hot Sauce: This fruity and spicy sauce is perfect for tacos, wings, burgers, or even your morning eggs. Make every meal a delicious fiesta. For every bottle sold, Pip donates £1 to Queens Heath Pride, the local independent Pride festival in Kings Heath.
We can never get enough honey. So we were happy when Collin from Bee Marvellous reached out to us and asked if we would like to stock his honey. Sure thing!
The honey is natural and comes with wonderful floral tones, it’s pure local cold filtered honey produced in Worcestershire in the heart of the English countryside.
