5 June 2022
This is the weekly newsletter from Loaf in Stirchley, keeping you abreast of our bakery and cookery school, and other news we think you might be interested in.
This week, like most of the country, we’ve been struck by Covid which has reduced our opening hours slightly (and truncated this week’s newsletter).
Our opening hours for this week are:
Wed - Fri: 12-4pm
Saturday: 8am-1pm
We’ll have plenty of bread and pastries on the shelves all day, with lunches served from noon on weekdays. Scroll to the bottom for this week’s lunch menu.
As you’ll doubtless be aware, Covid is again spreading fast across our communities. In the last few days three of us at Loaf have gone down with this particularly contagious variant and are off work — so we’ve had to make some adjustments.
You shouldn’t notice a significant change in what’s available on the shelves, but our doors will be closing earlier on Thursday and Friday at 4pm.
We remain confident that visiting Loaf is a low risk. While we obviously can’t be 100%, we’re pretty certain these infections were caught outside of Loaf. The draft through the building caused by our extractor fans means we have a very safe environment from airborne diseases.
That said, staff are testing regularly and we ask all visitors and customers to please be respectful of your distance to others when visiting Loaf and wear a mask if you are able.
Lunches are made fresh weekdays for 12 noon.
Our menu for the week — with ingredients and allergens — is on the website.
All our classes are fully booked through the summer. Thanks for all your interest!
Dates for classes in the autumn will be released soon. You can sign up to alert lists for specific classes here.
Thanks for all your continued support. See you next week!
