This is the weekly newsletter from Loaf in Stirchley, keeping you abreast of our bakery and cookery school, and other news we think you might be interested in.

Other than we’ll be at Stirchley Market this Saturday for our first baking surgery. See you there!

We’ll have plenty of bread and pastries on the shelves all day, with lunches served from noon on weekdays.

Our opening hours are:
Wednesday: 12-4
Thursday: 12-6
Friday: 12-6
Saturday: 8-1

Rejoice! It’s mince pie season!

You’ve been patient for 11 months and it’s time to be rewarded. Our legendary mince pies are on sale from this Thursday 1st December.

Packed with the finest ingredients, including local apples and stout from Attic Brew Co, they’re available as vegan or buttered.

Pre-orders for the rest of December will go live this weekend, including mince pies, so you won’t miss out.

Baking surgery this Saturday

We’re running a drop-in baking surgery at Stirchley Community Market this Saturday from 10 to 3pm.

Bring any questions you have about your bread or pastry baking and Loaf baker and tutor Neil will do his best to answer. You can find out more about Real Bread, chat over any problems with your bake and get some expert tips.

No charge, but a donation to the B30 Food Bank would be appreciated!

Stirchley Market is a non-profit project completely run by volunteers and is one of the seeds of Stirchley’s current blossoming. We’re delighted to see it back after the pandemic break. Go check it out and get some locally-made festive gifts and treats!

  • Curry: Tarka daal with sourdough (Ve)

Thursday

  • Soup: Spiced sweet potato soup with toasted pecans and sea salt focaccia (Ve)

Friday

  • Curry: New potato and broccoli with sourdough (Ve)
  • Salt beef on challah

Wed — Fri

  • Sourdough pizza: Artichoke, olives, capers, chilli, basil and mozzarella (V)
  • Ham and cheese croissant
  • Pine nut pesto and cheese croissant (V)

Wed — Sat:

  • Sausage rolls
  • Vegetable rolls (V)

Lunches are made fresh weekdays for 12 noon.

Cookery school classes
