This is the weekly newsletter from Loaf in Stirchley, keeping you abreast of our bakery and cookery school, and other news we think you might be interested in.

This week it's a short one as we get ready for our first appearance at Cocomad in a years! See you there!

We’ll have plenty on the shelves all week, with lunches served from noon on weekdays.

Our bakery opening hours are:
Tue - Fri: 12 - 6
Saturday: 8 - 1

We're at Cocomad this Saturday

It's Cocomad, the big community festival cum village fete in Cotteridge Park, this Saturday and for the first time in a long time Loaf will be there!

We're bringing buns, cakes, pastries and whatever else we can squeeze out of the Saturday bake shift, plus loads and loads of cold cans of Dalston's fizzy drinks. Look for the round green gazebo with our logo on it!

We'll also be on hand to talk about our new building (did we mention construction has started? We did?) with members of the other co-ops involved passing through.

Lunches this week

We've taken the hint and are making more cold lunches over the summer months! Look for them on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Tuesday

  • Curry: Tarka daal with sourdough (Ve)

Wednesday

  • Chilled Soup: Pea, cucumber and cashew with fresh mint and sourdough (Ve)

Thursday

  • Focaccia Sandwich: Butternut squash hummus, pickled red onion, toasted pumpkin seeds and spinach (Ve) with optional feta (V)

Friday

  • Curry: New potato, courgette and chickpea with sourdough (Ve)
  • Salt beef on challah

Tue – Fri

  • Sourdough pizza: Red peppers, white onion, black olives, chilli, fresh basil and mozzarella (V)

Wed – Fri

  • Ham and cheese croissant
  • Pine nut pesto and cheese croissant (V)

Tue – Sat:

  • Sausage rolls
  • Vegetable rolls (V)

Lunches are made fresh weekdays for 12 noon.
