Free kids snack packs for the summer holidays

After the success of last summer's programme we're bringing back our free food for kids programme for the summer holidays.

We will be preparing 20 packs of snacks for every weekday we're open during the school holidays, starting on Wednesday 26 July and ending Friday 1st September.

We will provide the labour and distribution but would be very grateful for any donations towards the food costs.

You can make a donation by card online or by cash and card in the shop. If your donation is substantial please contact us for our bank details at info@loaf.coop Any excess raised will be given to the B30 Food Bank.

And it should go without saying, children going hungry in a developed country is a choice made by our society. If you think we should make a better choice, please let your MP know.

The snack packs will include:

  • Two snack bars
  • An apple
  • Carton of fruit juice
  • Crisps

Parents / guardians will not need to pre-order. Just come to the counter from 12pm. No questions asked though we reserve the right to limit numbers of packs per person.

If you know anyone who might benefit from this, please send them a link to this page.

You raised £650 for SIFA Fireside

Between January and June we were taking donations on behalf of SIFA Fireside, the homelessness charity in Digbeth. We rounded up your generosity and just transferred £650 to their account. Thank you!

Eppie, their fundraising lead, said: "Your support has been incredible especially whilst so much has been going on. This is an amazing donation we are seriously so grateful to Loaf and your customers."
