Hi! I’m Liz Neeley and I’m glad you’re here. Making Sense of It All is an outlet for my work at Liminal, which focuses on sensemaking in a noisy and complicated world.
I built Liminal as an antidote to that horrible feeling of being alone and adrift amidst high volumes of low-value advice. What you can expect here is connections, collections, curation, and reflections on science communication. In other words, I hope, a small volume of high-value content.
Once a week, I’ll be posting Meeting the Moment commentary on current events in science and scicomm, with curated links so you can keep current but focused. And you’ll occasionally see some combination of:
Process Notes: quick comments about what I’m up to.
Theory to Practice: deeper dives into big concepts and how I see them playing out in the real work of science communication.
In Conversation: interviews with members of the Liminal collective, collaborators, friends, and inspirations.
The Stack: links to the media, resources, and tools I’m enjoying or finding useful.
Upcoming: information about useful opportunities and events.
Making Sense of It All is and will remain a completely free resource. If you'd like, you can also support our work with a monthly subscription. We have no walls to put our backs against except each other. Thank you for reading and thinking along with me!
