The word Liminal comes from the Latain word Limen, which means threshold. Today the world liminal is define as an adj Intermediate between two states, conditions, or regions; transitional or indeterminate.

A Liminal Space is a space inbetween one way of being and another, it is a threshold we pass through as we change from being what we were into someone we don't yet know.
