Then this
The Pudding publishes some innovative essays but I'm not sure I've seen anything quote like this very personal story on an IVF journey.
And it was thanks to the good folks at The Pudding that I came across this very empathetic article from The Strait Times about what it means to be an older carer. This manages to combine my interests in data AND local government. But I think it will interest you too.
I enjoyed this post on A lost Chinese map and the third graders who knew how to read it.
If you'd like to sponsor me to abseil down a church in aid of The Fire Fighters Charity I'd be very grateful. Big thanks to Rob who generously put his hand into his virtual pocket as a result of my appeal last week.
And finally this

This is a list I compile on a weeklyish basis and email to subscribers. I also share the link on Mastodon, Bluesky and LinkedIn. It's a list of data vacancies in nonprofit organisations that have caught my eye. I don't endorse any of the organisations or roles.
Salaries are usually FTE and usually include London weighting if applicable. This list is very UK focused and even for remote jobs you are likely to need the right to work in the UK.
