🍋 Issue #28 - 11/11/2025

Embracing Remembrance Day, spotlighting creative tech heroes, and sharing my procrastination-packed life!

Welcome to issue #28!

I was looking forward to putting together this issue all week last week and yet somehow I still managed to leave it until late Monday afternoon to get it done? Such is the life of a full time procrastinator.

Today, November 11th, is Remembrance Day here in Canada. A day of “remembrance for the men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace.”

In Flanders fields, the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
                          In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
                            In Flanders fields.

Words I Wrote

Links to blog or social media posts I published in the past week.

  • Stephen Robles Goes Full Time Tech Content Creator - Technically this wasn't published in the last week, but I haven't posted anything else so it's all I've got. Regardless, it's exciting to see someone like Stephen who works as hard as he does be rewarded with being able to go all in on creating awesome Mac and iOS tutorials and reviews.

I do have a blog post I need to write up on how I used Gemini (Google's AI) to write a script that pulls in items I've saved this week from the web on Raindrop into a nice document to reference for this newsletter. As well as some thoughts on live-streaming on Twitch / YouTube.

Linking to Likes

YouTube videos, blog posts, podcast episodes —whatever I've enjoyed or found interesting over the last few weeks.

  • tldraw - More people should know about this cool + free web based drawing utility.

  • iOS 26.1: Bring Back the Tap-to-Stop Alarm Button - iOS 26.1 brought a slide to stop gesture for alarms. Here's how to change it back if you prefer to tap and snooze.

  • Royal Family: Daily Chess Logic Puzzle - In case you don't have enough daily puzzle games, check out Royal Family.

  • Meutch - Interesting site for letting neighbours know what you have to borrow and what they're willing to lend out. Feels ripe for "here's what to steal from me" lists, but maybe I'm too jaded?

  • Fastmarks for macOS - A macOS bookmark manager that's fast and works like a Spotlight search.

This Week at Lemon Productions

It's not always easy to talk about client work when it’s not public yet, but I thought I'd link to episodes I found interesting, or fun things happening in podcasting that I come across.

  • ShopTalk Show #690 Steve Ruiz and tldraw - As previously mentioned, tldraw is a cool drawing brainstorming app and this episode has an interview with it's creator.

  • How to get the most out of OP3’s free podcast analytics - Podcast stats should be more openly available, like YouTube views. Transparency > shady numbers.

  • Ears - macOS has a built in audio switcher in the menubar, but Ears makes it a lot easier to manage + hotkeys.

Picture From My Life

Me sitting with a mug of coffee in my hand looking at the camera. Our dog, Neville, sits on a chair behind me. He barely fits on it.
Neville lounging behind me in my office waiting for me to finish computer-ing and go for a walk already.

Be curious. Not judgmental. 💖

If you’ve got a question, suggestion, or comment about anything in this email - hit reply and send me a message! 💖 Until next week-ish - thanks for reading!
