Hi friends,

I am so lucky! I am safe and well, and staying in a beautiful lakehouse in Southern Illinois with a dear, dear friend. Everyone that I know made it through the storm safely, and are either evac'd or fighting the good fight on the ground.

Who knows when:

1. Power will come back in New Orleans

2. I will return to my home

3. I will finish the August song (at this point, maybe September or October will be a double feature?)

In the meantime, please donate to mutual aid funds and orgs (not the red cross) in Southern Louisiana, especially ones working in the river parishes. There are many lists online, but if you need help narrowing things, drop me a line :)

Again, I am so, so lucky. Thanks to everyone who has reached out. I'll won't write next weekend, but I'll see y'all at the end of the month with at least one new song.
