Henry goes to World of Coffee Con
Henry drank a lot of coffee, podcasted with Matthew Rosenberg, started coloring Gil Thorp, and ate at Taix before it closed.

Look, I’m grateful.
I’m grateful for the life that I have suffered to live. But sometimes you go to a coffee convention and question all choices you have ever made in said life. I won a Instagram contest through AMO to go to World of Coffee San Diego 2026. I have never drank so much incredible, world-class coffee in (let’s be honest) my life that I didn’t ask for. This all took place at the San Diego Convention Center. I have history with the convention center, and it looks better with carpet.
AMO is co-owned by Colby Lopez and Rebecca Quinn aka Seth “Freaking” Rollins and Becky “The Man” Lynch. I got to hang out at their booth—watch them work the coffee world—all while hanging out with my buddy Deadboy Fitness’ Josh Gallegos. They signed my coffee bag and I gifted them a copy of Death to Pachuco in which The Man asked for my autograph. She didn’t have to do that. For what it’s worth, AMO is roasted and partnered with a literal world renowned tastemaker: Dayglow. I had some of the chocolate strawberry roast this morning—and it was a damn fine cup of coffee. FYI: this is not a paid advertisement. This is not a work.
Latinx Press Podcast: Matthew Rosenberg
I talk to Matthew Rosenberg about his new series: If Destruction Be Our Lot. He’s one of those guys that can talk about anything—and is full of good comics stories. He’s one of the handful of people in the industry that I felt has respected me as a person and professional in this business. I read the first issue and it’s a beautiful story. It’s Fallout meets Wall-e. I’m sure he’ll hate that encapsulation, but that’s what I got from it.

I’m coloring Gil Thorp now.
