Dear Friends,
You’ve heard a lot from me—this will be the last message for a little bit:
Preliminary results are in for yesterday’s special election. The vote of Town Meeting stands since “No” votes failed to meet the 20% minimum to reverse a vote of the Representative Town Meeting, in accordance with Section 8 of Chapter 215 of the Acts of 1929, as amended.
Read the Town’s press release here (PDF) and Lexington Observer’s article here. The Town of Lexington is governed by several state and federal laws listed here (PDF).
The conversation is not over; everyone has a right to—and should—contact their representatives. Email the Select Board with your thoughts, concerns, and questions at [email protected].
TOMORROW: On June 18th from 7–8:45pm, I will be joining Cameron Hickey, Representative Michelle Ciccolo, Sara Sheikh, and J. Kim Vandiver for Lexington Lyceum’s Lyceum Conversation: The Power of Participation. Find details and tickets here.

I'm proud to be organizing for Senator Ed Markey's re-election campaign. Senator Markey has been a steadfast advocate for Massachusetts—fighting back against harmful federal policies, protecting immigrants from ICE, and pushing for healthcare reform, among much more. Saturday, June 27th at 10am, the Markey campaign is canvassing in Lexington. Sign up to join us here!
I’m inviting those who are interested in getting involved—especially students—to join me and the team for a canvas this Saturday in Salem at 10am. Know someone who would be interested? Send them my way!

Lexpress route changes take effect July 6th. See if changes impact your route at lexingtonma.gov. 2026–27 Limitless passes are for sale now; renew your pass before July 1st!
