The Radio Tacoma Newsletter
News from Tacoma’s all-volunteer, low-power community radio station, 101.9

New and Improved!
Radio Tacoma now has an entirely new website complete with a revamped archive of all of our locally produced shows. This is all thanks to David Raab who stepped in when our previous website literally disappeared (a domain issue not a hack). We are so grateful to David for his work, too, on updating our scheduling software which failed at the same time, coincidentally, as the website. It was a hard Fall, but we built back better.
Closing the Loop
We also want to thank all of those who helped make our October Winetasting and Silent Auction Fun-raiser a rousing success, not just in terms of fundraising (we raised over $2000) but in the connections made between all of those involved with Radio Tacoma. We especially are grateful to Joe and Carmela of the Wine Pair Podcast who served as MCs for the event and shared wine wisdom with us.
One neat story from the event is that Walter Hudsick contributed a cartoon he drew about growing up in a Brooklyn neighborhood which was bought by Carmela, whose father grew up in the same neighborhood two blocks away from Walter's home! We like to call that pronoia: the universe is conspiring to do us good.
’Tis the Season
Finally, we are so happy to be airing Brad Jacobsen's piano music for the holidays!
A joyous season to all, from all of us!
