Working on something you want some encouragement on? Send us a photo or link and tell us about it! We'll give you our best Unicorn Feedback, and if you're OK with it, we'll share what you are working on.
We believe in three kinds of constructive feedback:
🦄 Unicorn Feedback shares the positive connections we're making with your effort. This isn't fake feedback! It just isn't negative, only positive. Many people find this type of feedback great when they are early in the process of creating or feeling a bit bruised by the process or constraints placed on their creativity (such as time crunches!).
🌹 Rose Feedback shares the positive connections and also things that seem puzzling, hard to understand, or perhaps even troubling. This feedback combines the lovely color and scent of the rose annnnnd also the thorns.
🌶️ Chili Pepper Feedback foregrounds the things we're confused by or things that seem to need more of your attention. Many people find Chili Pepper Feedback to be a great help as they approach the end of a creative cycle when they really want to make their thing the absolute best it can be. They already feel good about their creation, but they want to feel GREAT about it by making it awesome and more connective with others.
Send us something you're cookin' up, and let us know what type of feedback you prefer! Loneliness in one's craft can be so demotivating. Trust us. WE KNOW. Together we can kick apathy and weird feelings to the curb!
🚨🪩 KDZU STATUS REPORT 🪩🚨
KDZU is on the road this April and May! We will navigate back and forth across the Mojave Desert, Great Basin, Colorado Plateau, and the Rocky Mountains (quite a few times even!) because we are visiting the mighty Media Archaeology Lab!!!! (swoon! swoon! swoon!)
This summer, to celebrate a life wondrously altered by media archaeology, we will be mailing road trip ephemera, photos, and other items of psychogeographic significance to folks who send us their mailing addresses. (International is OK!) Just reply to this email with your mailing address! (Already on the mailing list? Expect something in your mailbox soon! 💌)
For example, one of you will get this amazing photo we picked up at a thrift store. It seems to be taken by someone thoroughly smitten with the great outdoors.
That change in ink color as a suggestion of time passing and/or change in authorship...
