surprise: despite not having updated this newsletter in like 4 months i'm not dead!

i've been a little bit in crunch mode for various projects, but i'm nearing the finish line & watching the little progress bar in my spreadsheet go steadily up. (91.4% done with inking this book, currently!) more on that later!

it’s been a while since i’ve written anything here; i’ve had a very slow summer in some ways (not many conventions) and a very busy summer in other ways (lots of deadlines, trying to get my life together, etc), none of which have been conducive to remembering to write newsletters or update social media. i do have a bunch of updates to share, though, so without further ado…

i’m opening up my shop again!

it’ll be open to the public as of 3pm EST on friday april 11, but members of my patreon already have early access to it as of when i'm writing this!

i've got a bunch of zines, stickers, prints, buttons, sticker sheets, washi tape, & more up on there. i hope you'll check it out! i'm aiming to raise money for booking convention travel, finishing mailing out orders from last year's haunts kickstarter, and pay rent etc.

I’m off to the UK today for Thought Bubble Comic Festival! I’m stopping in Edinburgh for a couple days first, then heading to Harrogate for the convention. This isn’t my first international con (I’ve done TCAF in Toronto twice), but it is my first overseas convention, and I’m very nervous and very excited.

It’s been a while since I’ve written a newsletter, and I’d love to spend a couple paragraphs catching you guys up on everything I’ve been up to since… July? Was that really the last one? Whoops.

Currently, I’m writing during a brief break from the joint chaos of trying to finish sewing my halloween costume and prepare/pack for a convention before my train leaves tomorrow morning, so here’s the sparknotes: moved back to NYC (yay!), got covid almost immediately, laptop broke, phone/wallet got stolen, but my birthday is next week so hopefully I’ve gotten all the bad luck out of the way and it’ll be smooth sailing from here! (Fingers crossed.)

my shop is back from the dead!

for a limited time only! it’ll be closing on sunday august 11th, right before i head out for ♡ flamecon ♡ (more on that later), and after that i’ll be moving (hopefully back to nyc, but stuff is still in progress on that front)!

i’ve got tons of stickers, zines, comics, prints, buttons, enamel pins, and more ready to mail out to y’all! you can also preorder the second edition of haunts while my shop is open!

thank you so much to everyone who came out to see me at TCAF (and a warm welcome to folks who signed up for this newsletter there)! i had an absolutely wonderful time there and got to meet so many cool people. (stick around to the end of this newsletter and you’ll get to see some of the cool comics & etc i picked up there as well!)

Hello from Toronto!

I’m going to be at TCAF this weekend at the Toronto Reference Library — if you’re in the Toronto area, come say hi! It’s free and there’ll be three whole floors of comic artists selling their wares. I’ll be tabling alongside my friend Jade Zhang at table 2065!

I’ve been super busy printing new things the past few weeks, so I’m going to have a bunch of new stuff at my table. I’ll have a couple copies of last month’s (riso-printed!) Patreon zine about spite houses, a new mini zine of some old poems, a ton of new stickers, packs of tarot cards from my Deck of Spirits project, new prints, and more!
