i'm thankful to have had a very lazy saturday yesterday. i'm thankful to have read the most recent issue of new york in the bath. i'm thankful that d not only made a chocolate cheesecake with an oreo crust, but she also saved the leftover oreo creme for me because she knows i love it. i'm thankful in addition to eating a slice of the delicious cheesecake, i also made homemade mega stuffed oreos with the leftover creme. i'm thankful that though i ate too much dessert yesterday, i hadn't eaten dessert for most of last week, so maybe it wasn't so bad. i'm thankful for this breathless endorsement of a fast food breakfast sandwich, which both d and i want badly now.
i'm thankful for the album infinite worlds by vagabon, which thrums with the electricity of the body. i'm thankful for the song "darling" by real estate, whose music always makes me feel like summer. i'm thankful for "blessings" by sampa the great and am always thankful for jazz-hop. i'm thankful for this strange lovely little thing by gonzalez and jarvis cocker. i'm thankful for the new lana del rey song and for the gorgeous and moving video, which makes a paradise out of the apocalypse. i'm thankful that i had a dream where i got kicked out of the band because of my attempt to get our keyboard player to play in a certain way, but i'm thankful it was just a dream. i'm thankful for this unicorn made of musical notes. i'm thankful for this accurate representation of when drake hears a new flow. i'm thankful for "will smith" rapping over the credits of arrival, which reminds me of my youth.
i'm thankful that courtney love did a recitation of sylvia plath's "daddy" when auditioning for the mickey mouse club (i'm thankful for sylvia plath's reading voice, which always freaks me the fuck out). i'm thankful for this emotional moment from the wikipedia page for violent j of icp (i'm thankful to have been reminded of "american juggalo" by kent russell). i'm thankful for this pill, which both prevents ulcers and induces abortion, two activities i think are important. i'm thankful for freaks on the internet and for freaks on the internet. i'm thankful that we are all freaks on the internet, but some freaks are freakier than others. i'm thankful to zoom into the dog's nose.
