If you have any thoughts or opinions, positive or negative, about Joy Who Lived, please fill out our survey in the next week!
FROM ALISTAIR:
The trans news organization I’m working for is looking for a digital director and my boss wanted to reach out to more trans groups to let them know we’re hiring!
FROM MADDOX:
I'm on to my next project, a commission from the Generation Now partnership of Native Voices (LA) and Children's Theater Company (MN). It's called Picture Day, it's my first Theater for Young Audiences (10-14) piece, and I could really use your help! I am writing a play about five 8th graders waiting to be called in for their close-ups under the intermittent supervision of their frazzled principal.
I’ve got a short survey that I would love for you to fill out! It asks about your experience with school pictures (annual portraits, club photos, yearbook groups lined up on the bleachers) and how you think this coming of age ritual may have changed with the advent of infinite smart phone albums taking the place of The One True Marker of Time on grandma’s fridge.
From Luca + Christian
I produce and host a comedy shorts screening at UCB and we're always on the lookout for more films. We show shorts, sketches and web series, and they don't have to be super recent. We're really just trying to make a space for people to have their work seen in front of an audience and network with other filmmakers in the UCB community. If you have any films you'd like to show, please send them my way! And if you know anyone who might be interested, please feel free to share this submission form with them.
