Alignment & Balancing
How OKRs ensure the wheels of your business turn exactly where you want
We know it's important to do this for our cars. But what does this look like for business?
Alignment is simply the process of putting all the parts and pieces in one direction. Balancing is making sure it stays that way when in motion.
Now, whatever systems you have set, you know that they need to talk to each other. Just like people on different teams need to be in tune with each other. Only that ensures holistic value.
A simple way of doing this is through OKRs. They're a natural extension of KPIs. Just like you define a key performance indicators, you can define Objectives and Key Results. Set an objective, for example 50% increase in leads. Then simply list down what all key results you need to plan to achieve that objective. Probably performance marketing or a referal program for more leads. Simply keep breaking it down to objectives for various teams or agencies. Decide on a measurement and time frame for each key result. That's it.
The beautiful thing is they work top down and bottom up seamlessly. They bring a lot of clarity on how a certain objective will be fulfilled. It gives a clear path and roadmap.
Now, to keep the entire plan on track, regular reviews are all you need. That's how you balance strategy with execution!
All the best!
If this helped you, forward it to one business owner you know. That’s how we grow.
