Hello reader — I've missed you! I'm picturing some of your faces that I know, smiling at you and imagining you smiling back in shared recognition, seeing each other with affection.

I've been feeling out of my usual loops lately: First, I skipped writing you last week while I was down-the-coast at the Denizen gathering. Lots of energy toward coordination and action! Then as I returned, I got knocked known by a bit of a bout of food poisoning and so I still feel somewhat underwater trying to catch up. It sure feels good to feel healthy again though, that's for sure.

While recovering, I got to enjoy hearing Shaun draw out Carol's story on Episode 2 of the IS Liminal Stories podcast, coincidentally right after getting to spend some poignant time together carpooling to/from the Denizen gathering last week.

Picture the last infant you saw, a chubby-cheeked little baby — we just love them unconditionally right? When did we stop becoming intrinsically lovable? (Hint: we didn't!) That bit stuck with me from this morning's Dyadic Unfolding training with Daniel. Doing more simple presence practice lately has been good for my spirit.

Speaking of good, I'm looking forward to reading Rufus and Rosie's latest paper Wisdom and Wanting What's Good which was just released today. I love the Wisdom Gap diagram there; those are the curves humanity is charged with bending if we're to survive and thrive.

The academic name for wisdom growth is Adult Development, and yesterday I and a few others kicked off a re-launch (thanks Christine for landing that word) project for Lume Network (which the website doesn't reflect yet) based on the belief that development is good — both extrinsically beneficial and intrinsically rewarding (thanks Nate for those words).

Development is The Journey Within, which is also the theme of the upcoming Season 2 of the Conscious Evolution podcast! The date is now announced: Releasing November 1st, subscribe now to receive the next tour-de-force of Rob's work, building on his amazing work from six years ago. I'm proud to have sponsored its continuation two years ago, and we'll be hosting an online launch party to celebrate the new release.

Gosh, I'm way more energized than when I started writing this — from soft to sparky, I'd say. ... Saying that, then I notice also that I've been in contact with energies of failures and grief in the field also this week. Holding those tenderly, and connecting with my own similar lessons, grief is right and also failure so often transmutes into the next evolution. This too is the path, and our souls won't stop on their journey of universe-calling and life-vow.

Wishing you well; may you be who you are called to be, tomorrow and forevermore.

Cheers,
James
