(I'll use the word "we" to speak from the "me" yet include whomever identifies with this path)

We love in order to lose.
We fail in order to learn.
We let go of what we discover we were holding tight
in order to choose again from love.

We let go, release from inborn clinging.
We detach from impulsive constriction
in order to create meaning through intention.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

We see the space between us.
We choose and choose again
to walk each other home.
Good friendship is the whole of the holy life.

We are here for a time such as this.
Purpose lives in everything because
everything lives in us.
Enlightenment is friendship with all things.

We seek and seek to become free.
We grow and see through all constructs
yet the path leads back to each other
because there is no other.

If I do not have love, I have nothing.
Love asks nothing but costs everything.
But we never had anything with which to pay
and so we perceive the infinite gift.

We learn the circle in the spiral.
We learn the whole in each part.
We return over and over
to not the same river
never the same self
carried by the current
we give and live and love again
take the first step, close in
it's times like these
devotion
love
is the way
